I've always been independant minded & admired self-sufficiency. Raising my own food has always had an attraction to me.My first adventure was with my sister-in-law in the 1970s when we canned our own Bread and Butter pickles from Uncle Fritzs recipe.
I love a sawdusted barn. I only wish I could find someone who sells sawdust in the winter. Now that there are wood (sawdust) pelleted stoves, nobody sells it anymore as plain sawdust.
