I've always been independant minded & admired self-sufficiency. Raising my own food has always had an attraction to me.My first adventure was with my sister-in-law in the 1970s when we canned our own Bread and Butter pickles from Uncle Fritzs recipe.
I do love canning, even if it does become overwhelming in the fall.All the pretty colors & not having to go to the grocery store,except for goofy stuff like soda and things you can't make at home.
